Wow... today was an adventurous day! I took my dad's car and went for a spin! no... i mean ALOT of spin! lol~

The initial plan was to pick Jason the FOOL up at redhill at 4pm then we proceed botanic garden for an open concert at 4 30pm~ i left chai chee at 3 30pm and memorized the route in my mind before moving.

Yeah... everything was smooth until i exit Adam Road from PIE and missed a turn into Tiong Bahur Road~~ And for that... i LOST MY WAY in singapore! lol~

After i missed the turn... i totally had no idea where i am driving to... so i drove into a car park and reset my GPS~ (Yes, Iphone GPS)

Man... i always thought the Iphone's GPS is good... until i really tried it out today... and OMG-ed.. it lagged big time! i kept missing my turns because on the phone... the indicator shows i haven reach the junction but in fact... i ALREADY PASSED IT! lol~

so this went on and on and on... and i drove into 3 car parks! reset my GPS 3 times! LOL! and finally.... oh finally.... i got the hang on the GPS and got my directions right and yes.... i reached REDHILL MRT! omg-ed!

Picking Jason up wasn't smooth... good thing he was late... coz i picked him at 4 20pm! Gosh~

But this was not the end of the story! Our next destination was the botanic garden... i thought with an assistant to direct the way using the GPS, everything should be fine...

BUT NO! Jason is as worst as me reading the GPS! lol~ we got ourselves LOST AGAIN! hahaha!~

You cant believe it took us 45mins to drive from redhill mrt to botanic garden! LOL~ but it was also due to finding car park lots~

Something happened at the car park... ... A BMW 5 series ALMOST HIT ME! GOSH! What happened was this FEMALE BMW driver didn't position her car well enough so her could reach for the cash card machine to insert her cash card at the car park gantry... So she just conveniently changed to reverse gear and started REVERSING when my car was DIRECTLY be hide her!

WAH... Good thing i was quick to reverse my car to prevent it from happening... wahhn.. Female drivers... =X

But it didn't end here! The both cars went into a car park that was FULL! haha~ so we got to make our turn out... AND AGAIN! THE BMW REVERSE WITHOUT CHECKING! I sounded my horn this time... Damn annoying... Come on.. buy a lorry and Do That! Dun wack into people's car with a BMW 5 series! ~.~

So after all the "thrilling driving" we FINALLY REACH BOTANIC GARDEN! and Yay~ We missed the first band of the concert! Yeah... didn't get to listen to Phil Wind Youth.. and Jason didn't get to listen to the piece "Imagine" =( booooo!

It was CROWDED there man! every single spot on the grass was occupied! haha~ i was surprise with the number of people showing up for casual outdoor concert like this... You dun even see that many in Indoor Concerts...

It was about 5 45 then and we found a spot to sit... nice spot... right at the middle where you can view the entire orchestra~

So the Singapore Symphony Orchestra performed... and it was OMG-eeeedddd x1000! MY goodness... There were only 2 trumpeters... and they played 1812 overture! and its damn NICE! i totally love it... Jason was speechless after listening... haha!

Anyway SSO played 6 pieces of music which lasted like an hour plus... of which.. 3 were contemporary music and 3 were classical music~ they played Greensleeves... another OMG-ed piece... and Intermezzo~ Damn nicee... Chicago.. and more!

Took some picture of SSO during their performance.. and i really like the ambiance in botanic garden when the sunrise setting... super romantic! Yay... Jason and i said if the next time we got GFs... this is a sure place to come.. and have picnic! =)

Anyway i am pretty sure my driving skill LEVEL UP today... i did like countless 3 point turns... countless parking (to reset GPS)... haha~ Good thing meixin and Alice didn't go... i think i am gonna get nagged by girls~~~
